Michael F. Ganino, CPA, CFE
Michael F. Ganino is an Audit and Advisory Principal with DHL&S. In this role, he is responsible for providing audit and advisory services and tax minimization strategies to individuals, multi and single state, and international businesses. Mike has experience in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, public utilities and health care, as well as not-for-profit organizations and service providers. With over 25 years in public accounting, Mike has a broad background in compliance and auditing procedures related to The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Connecticut Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). His in-depth knowledge includes designing and evaluating internal controls and balancing them with the practical needs of entrepreneurial organizations.
Active in many civic, religious and community organizations, Mike serves on the Boards of Directors of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Connecticut State University School of Business Advisory Council, and as a Trustee of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Educational Trust Fund. Mike has served on the Board and as Treasurer of the Lupus Foundation of America’s Connecticut Chapter. He has volunteered for many organizations, including Junior Achievement and the Bridgeport Area Youth Soccer Organization, and he is the former Treasurer of Alpha Home, Inc.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the New Haven Manufacturers Association. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and graduated Cum Laude from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut. In addition, Mike earned the globally preferred Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.
